These tours are the perfect introduction to the Greenwich Maritime World Heritage site.
When: Tours take place every day (except 24th, 25th and 26th December, 1st January and Marathon Day)
Tour times: Greenwich Meridian Tour at 12.00 Greenwich Highlights Tour at 14.15
Meeting point: The Visitor Information Desk inside Discover Greenwich at the Old Royal Naval College SE10 9NN
Duration: The tour will last 90 minutes
Tickets cost: £8 (£7 concessions). Two children, up to 14 years of age, may go free with each paying adult.
No need to book. Buy your tickets on the day from the Visitor Desk inside Discover Greenwich. Please arrive in good time for the start of tour.
The Information Staff will direct you to the meeting point. Your Greenwich Guide will be wearing our badge.The
Old Royal Naval College is close to Greenwich Pier, 5 minutes walk from
the Cutty Sark DLR Railway Station and 10 minutes from Greenwich main
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DAILY TOURS
THE MERIDIAN TOUR
will take you on a scenic walk to the top of the hill in Greenwich Park
to cross the zero degrees longitude Meridian line and admire the famous
views across London. On the way you will
hear about the Cutty Sark, the Thames riverside, Greenwich Palace, the
Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich Park and the Queens House. This walk is the more energetic of the two daily walks but does not go into any attraction.
THE GREENWICH HIGHLIGHTS TOUR
covers the Cutty Sark, Thames riverside, Greenwich Palace, Old Royal
Naval College, with a visit to the Chapel, Greenwich Park and the Royal
Observatory viewed from the Park, The Queen’s House including a short
introduction to the interior.
This tour does not go up the hill, so is suited to those preferring a more relaxed stroll around the World Heritage site.
The Chapel and the Queen’s house can close at short notice.
